Kim Halpin

Pathology and Pathogenesis Group Leader

Kim Halpin is a veterinary virologist and currently serves as the Pathology and Pathogenesis Group Leader at CSIRO. With a comprehensive educational background including a PhD in Virology, a Master of Public Health, and additional qualifications in Epidemiology, Kim has significant experience in research, diagnostics, and commercial settings, primarily focusing on emerging infectious diseases. Previously, Kim held various leadership and scientific roles, including overseeing molecular diagnostic projects and leading teams dedicated to animal health and food safety. Kim has contributed to significant collaborative projects aimed at managing transboundary animal diseases and has been involved in training initiatives in Indonesia and Vietnam.
