Luke Barrett is a Senior Research Scientist at CSIRO Agriculture and Food in Canberra, Australia, where they focus on the ecological and evolutionary dynamics of plant-microbe interactions in agricultural and natural systems. Since 2010, they have led projects on pathogen evolution and resistance durability, as well as high throughput phenotyping and plant microbiome assembly. Prior to this, Luke was a Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of Chicago from 2008 to 2010. They hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from The Australian National University, which they completed in 2007.
