Lynne Macdonald

Sustainable Agriculture - Research Scientist

Lynne Macdonald is an accomplished researcher with a focus on microbial interactions in agriculture and soil health. With a PhD and BSc in Plant, Soil & Microbial Sciences from the University of Aberdeen, Lynne served as a GHG Microbiology Post Doctoral Visiting Fellow at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada from 2002 to 2004. Following this, Lynne worked at CSIRO as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Soil Health and Dryland Cropping Systems, concentrating on microbial function in intensive cropping systems, and later transitioned to a Research Scientist role focused on sustainable agriculture practices. From 2006 to 2008, Lynne was a Post Doctoral Fellow in Soil Forensic Science at The James Hutton Institute, where efforts centered on soil fingerprinting techniques for forensic applications.
