Mark Pownceby

Mark Pownceby is a Principal Research Scientist at CSIRO Mineral Resources and has held this position since 1992, focusing on solid state chemistry and mineralogy. They also serve as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at RMIT University and an Adjunct Professor at Swinburne University of Technology, where they engage in research related to uranium mineralogy and high-temperature processes. Mark's earlier experience includes a role as a Visiting Scientist at Bayerisches Geoinstitut from 1989 to 1992. Mark earned a Bachelor of Science with Honors and a PhD in Earth Sciences from Monash University.
