Mark York

Group Leader, Biomedical Small Molecules and Materials at CSIRO

Mark York possesses extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and research sectors, having held various positions in prestigious organizations. Mark began with a summer internship at Rhone-Poulenc Rorer in 1997 and continued to develop expertise as a Research Scientist at Schering-Plough Research Institute and Organon Pharmaceuticals from 2000 to 2008. A PhD internship at Pfizer occurred in 1999. Mark has been a Group Leader at CSIRO since 2018, overseeing Bioactive Small Molecules and Polymers as well as Biomedical Small Molecules and Materials, and served as Team Leader in Medicinal Chemistry and Senior Research Scientist. Mark's academic credentials include a BSc (Hons) in Applied Chemistry from De Montfort University and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Leeds.
