Dr. Michelle Rafter is a Principal Research Scientist and Team Leader at CSIRO, specializing in evolutionary ecology with a focus on developing innovative and safe pest management solutions for invasive weeds and insects. They lead CSIRO’s tropical weeds team in Brisbane, Australia, and their research encompasses host-plant interactions, behavioural ecology, and biological control of weeds. Previously, they served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Queensland and worked as an Experimentalist at the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries in Queensland. Dr. Rafter earned a postgraduate degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from The University of Queensland.
