Omer Elmutasim has a diverse background in engineering and research, with experience spanning from 2013 to the present. Omer served as a Process Engineer at SUNA GAS Natural Gas Company, focusing on the feasibility study and Front End Engineering Design for a Liquefied Natural Gas Terminal project. Omer then transitioned to the role of Terminal Operations Superintendent at Libya Oil Sudan Limited, overseeing engineering and operational activities related to storage and quality control. Omer's research experience includes positions as a Research Assistant at the Center for Refining & Petrochemicals, where Omer specialized in catalyst optimization, and as a Research Associate at the Center for Catalysis & Separation, where Omer developed micro-kinetic models for catalytic reactions. Currently, as a Research Affiliate at CSIRO, Omer is engaged in innovative research on ammonia-to-electricity conversion using Direct Ammonia Solid Oxide Fuel Cells.
