Roozbeh Valavi

Dr. Roozbeh Valavi is a Senior Research Scientist at CSIRO, specializing in quantitative spatial ecology and data science, with a focus on geospatial analysis, ecological modeling, and machine learning. They have previously served as a Research Scientist and Predictive Modeller at Cesar Australia, where they developed predictive models and cloud-based solutions for species distribution. Roozbeh also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Melbourne and holds a PhD in Ecological Modelling, as well as a Master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing. Their proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, C++, and Rust enhances their contributions to biodiversity assessment and environmental decision-making.
