Roslyn Hickson

Roslyn Hickson is a Science Leader for Emerging Infectious Diseases at CSIRO and James Cook University, where they focus on applied mathematics to solve real-world problems. With past experience as a Research Scientist at IBM Research Australia and a Research Fellow at the Australian National University, Roslyn has modeled infectious diseases and diffusion processes throughout their career. They also served as a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of Newcastle and held various honorary positions, including at the University of Melbourne. Roslyn earned a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same institution.
