Shaun Howard is a chemical engineer and materials scientist currently developing CSIRO's vision for next-generation laboratories and scientific collaboration spaces. With extensive experience in materials discovery, they have served as a senior engineer and operations manager at the CSIRO Rapid Automated Materials & Processing Centre since 2013, enabling the rapid development and optimization of new materials through automated processes. Shaun's past roles include being a research associate with the United States Antarctic Program and working as a chemical engineer for Cognis. They hold a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, as well as a PhD in Physics from The Australian National University.
