Somenath Mukherjee is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in research and academia. Somenath began as an Internship Trainee at Mejia Thermal Power Station in 2017 and later served as a Graduate Engineering Trainee at Rajasthan Udyog & Tools from May to August 2022, focusing on Foundry Technology. Somenath holds positions at the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, as a Junior Research Fellow, Senior Research Fellow, and Teaching Assistant, contributing to various projects and courses related to metallurgical engineering. Currently, Somenath is a Postgraduate Researcher at CSIRO, part of the India-Australia Minerals Scholar Network. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University, a Master of Technology in Foundry Forge Technology from the National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Fuel Minerals and Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad.
