Tim Malthus is currently a Research Group Leader at CSIRO, where they have held this position since 2014, alongside their role as a Research Program Leader for the Environmental Earth Observation Program since 2009. Prior to joining CSIRO, they served as a Senior Lecturer and Director of the NERC Field Spectroscopy Facility at the University of Edinburgh from 1994 to 2009. Tim earned both a Bachelor of Science and a PhD in Zoology from the University of Otago between 1976 and 1984.
