Umar Farooq

Umar Farooq is a terrestrial ecosystem modeler currently serving as a CERC Fellow at CSIRO, where they develop next-generation greenhouse gas modules to enhance carbon accounting and promote sustainability. Previously, Umar held the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow at CMCC Foundation, contributing to the RESCUE project focused on bioenergy crops for carbon capture and storage. Their academic qualifications include a PhD in Engineering Science from Washington State University and two degrees in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, where they served as both a Lecturer and an Assistant Professor.
