Wayne Leifert

Wayne Leifert is a Principal Research Scientist at CSIRO Health and Biosecurity and a Professor at the University of Adelaide. With a robust background in health and medical research, they have led numerous successful collaborative projects focused on human health strategies, particularly in diagnostics and neurodegenerative diseases. Previously, Wayne worked for CSIRO as a Research Scientist and Senior Research Scientist from 1988 to 2008, where they contributed significantly to human disease diagnostics and garnered multiple awards for their research output. Wayne holds a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Adelaide and has also completed a Dip Med Lab Science, excelling academically throughout their educational journey.
