Michael Sones has extensive maritime experience, currently serving as Chief Mate and Navigation Officer at The CSL Group Inc. since June 2018. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Chief Officer at Canfor from November 2016 to June 2018 and worked as a Navigation Officer at McDermott International Inc. from November 2013 to September 2015. Michael began the career as a Deck Cadet at McDermott International Inc. from April 2009 to June 2013. Academic qualifications include a Diploma in Nautical Sciences from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, completed from 2010 to 2016, and a Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies from Memorial University in Newfoundland and Labrador, obtained from 2016 to 2018.
