Alexander Kennedy

Global Associate Medical Director - Pandemic & Outbreak

Alexander Kennedy is an experienced medical professional currently serving as Global Medical Lead for Pandemic Preparedness at CSL Seqirus since September 2017, following roles as Senior Medical Manager, Medical Manager, and Scientific Adviser. Prior to this, Alexander worked at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research from February 2013 to April 2017 as both Research Assistant and PhD Candidate, where significant achievements included establishing in vitro cultures of a new malaria species and leading projects that resulted in first author publications on infectious diseases. Alexander's research journey began with a position as Research Assistant at The University of Melbourne School of Botany in 2011, focusing on Toxoplasma gondii. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Biology (Parasitology) and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, all attained at the University of Melbourne.
