Amanda Lee

Amanda Lee is an accomplished intellectual property professional with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Currently serving as IP Lead in Recombinant Protein at CSL since October 2019, Amanda supports the company's research efforts and previously held the role of Senior Patent Counsel, focusing on gene and cell therapies. Prior experience includes Senior Officer Intellectual Property at RMIT University, where Amanda managed the university's IP portfolio, and as an Associate at Davies Collison Cave, providing strategic IP law services. Amanda started as a Trainee Patent Attorney at Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick and has a foundational background as a copy editor and PhD student at CSIRO. Educational qualifications encompass a Master's in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Melbourne and a PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from Monash University, among other degrees in the fields of chemistry and biotechnology.
