Miguel C. is an experienced professional in the field of gene therapy research, currently serving as Associate Director and previously as Principal Scientist at CSL since November 2021. Prior roles include R&D T Cell Engineering Lead and R&D Senior Scientist at CellFE from July 2019 to November 2021, as well as a Cell Characterisation Senior Scientist and Genome Engineering Scientist at GSK from November 2016 to July 2019. Miguel's academic background includes a PhD in Gene Therapy from UCL, where a research project focused on novel neonatal systemic rAAV and CRISPR/Cas9 approaches for ADA SCID, alongside a Master’s in Cell and Gene Therapy from UCL and a Bachelor’s in Biotechnology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Additionally, a research collaboration at UAB involved gene therapy development for Mucopolysaccharidosis type IIIA.
