Rainer Friedrich

Rainer Friedrich is currently serving as a Technically Qualified Judge at the Unified Patent Court, specializing in biotechnology. With a robust background in intellectual property law, Rainer has represented biotech, pharma, and chemistry clients before numerous patent offices and courts, including the German Federal Patent Court and the European Patent Office. Former experience includes roles as a Partner at breuer friedrich eisenberg and at Dörries Frank-Molnia & Pohlman, as well as an IP Lead in Hematology at CSL Behring. Rainer earned a Diplom in Biochemistry from Universität Regensburg and a Dr. rer. nat. from Technische Universität München, along with postdoctoral experience at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry.
