Riya Menezes is an accomplished scientist with a strong background in microbiology and biotechnology. Riya's experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology from May 2014 to May 2020, focusing on mass spectrometry and metabolomics. Prior to this role, Riya was a Junior Research Fellow at the Centre for Ecological Sciences, Indian Institute of Science, where work involved standardizing DNA extraction and PCR protocols for various taxonomic groups. Riya completed a PhD at Friedrich Schiller University, studying Schizophyllum commune, and has held positions at CSL Behring as both Scientist and Senior Scientist from May 2020 to December 2023.
