William Barker

William Barker, PhD, is an accomplished scientist specializing in virology and microbiology with experience in machine learning applications in viral research at CSL since June 2021. Prior to this role, William served as Lead Scientist at Agile Sciences, where significant contributions included designing biological assays to combat antibiotic resistance and developing a chemical library for high throughput screening against multi-drug resistant bacteria. William also holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame and a BS in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a strong research background demonstrated through the development of small molecules to reverse antibiotic resistance and collaboration across multiple research groups, resulting in seven publications.
