Daniel Brown, PhD, is currently a Principal Investigator and Senior Toxicologist at Consolidated Safety Services, Inc., where they lead projects supporting the National Toxicology Program. Previously, they held various academic positions, including Assistant Professor of Developmental Biology at Western Carolina University and Biology Instructor at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. Daniel earned their PhD in Environmental Science from Duke University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Their extensive expertise includes toxicological risk assessments and the study of biochemical mechanisms in aquatic organisms, particularly using zebrafish as a model. Daniel also serves as a Junior Elected Director of the North Carolina Academy of Science.
