Nicholas Castillo

Nicholas Castillo is a Ph.D. in Ecology and Ecotoxicology, currently serving as a Senior Environmental Scientist with CSS, Inc., on contract to NOAA. They have extensive experience in environmental monitoring, risk assessment, and research data science, particularly focusing on the impacts of contaminants on aquatic ecosystems. Previously, they managed NOAA’s National Mussel Watch Program, overseeing contaminant monitoring and regional risk assessments. With a strong background in interdisciplinary projects, Nicholas has published extensively and engaged with public stakeholders to address complex environmental challenges. They continue to seek opportunities in environmental consulting and applied research.
