Brana Phillips

Brana Phillips is a Civic Engagement Project Leader at City Year Los Angeles and a graduate of the University of California, Merced, where they earned a degree in Psychology. They have a strong commitment to public service, focusing on systems change and equitable policies for local communities. Brana has held various leadership roles, including as President of the Black Student Union, and has experience mentoring foster youth and advocating for their rights. They aspire to pursue a joint Master of Social Work and Master of Public Policy to further enhance their advocacy skills and aim to become a mayor, impacting community voices at the policy level.
