Alan Jalil

Alan Jalil is a highly experienced professional in the field of structural engineering, currently serving as the Head of Pole Research & Expertise - Structural at CSTB since March 2020, where Alan leads various projects involving reinforced concrete, masonry, timber, and steel-concrete structures, along with fire engineering and seismic resistance assessments. Alan also contributes to academia as a part-time structural mechanics professor at ESTP Paris, teaching various subjects since 2006, and has held teaching positions at several other institutions, including ESME and IMT Lille Douai. Alan's educational background includes a Master of Science in Structural Mechanics from UCLA and a Master of Engineering from ESTP, complemented by extensive involvement in training and consultancy related to structural design and assessment for professionals in the construction industry.
