Simon Thebault

Simon Thebault is an engineer specializing in energy and environmental performance evaluation, particularly for photovoltaic systems, thermal insulation, and building performance in hot climates. They hold a Master's degree in energy and environment from the Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Lyon, which they completed in 2012. Simon contributed to various projects during their tenure as a research and expertise engineer at CSTB from 2013 to 2016 and worked on a doctoral thesis focusing on in-situ evaluation of thermal insulation performance in buildings. They also engaged in research and development during a brief role at CEA, where they worked on integrating thermal storage and desalination systems in solar thermodynamic plants.
