Walid Jaafar

Walid Jaafar, Dr.-Ing., is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the energy and environmental sectors, currently serving as Sales Manager at CSTB since September 2007. Walid oversees activities related to energy performance in buildings, BIM, and sustainable water management. Walid has held various leadership roles, including Head of the Piping Systems division and Operations acting Director, where responsibilities included business development and operational guideline formulation. Additionally, Walid managed the Technical Assessment Unit, focusing on the approval of piping systems. With a background in academia as a Teacher-Researcher at the University of Strasbourg, Walid holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Fluid Mechanics and has pursued further education in business strategy management and materials science. Their contributions also extend to serving as Rapporteur for the Specialized Group n°14.1 at CCFAT.
