Rocío Otero

Rockie C. is an accomplished Program Manager at Lonza since March 2023, where responsibilities include directing multidisciplinary project teams for the clinical manufacturing of biologics and fostering global collaborations. Previously, Rockie served as Senior Scientist and Program Lead at CareDx, Inc. from June 2021 to March 2023, focusing on product development and automation of genomics-based diagnostics while contributing to a peer-reviewed publication on biomarkers in kidney transplant recipients. Rockie also held positions at Senti Biosciences as a Senior Scientist and Scientist II, where leadership in gene therapy initiatives was key, and worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles, as well as an Intern Analyst at Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures. Rockie earned a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Medicine from The Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
