Bernhard Lopez is currently the ACADA Deputy Coordinator and PA/QA Manager at the Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory, where they coordinate the Array Control and Data Acquisition system's AIV and development infrastructure team. With an academic background in electrical engineering and atmospheric sciences from Universidad de Chile, Bernhard gained early experience as a Software Engineer at the European Southern Observatory and later at the European Gravitational Observatory. They served as a Technical Manager at ALMA from 2008 to 2020, co-leading AIV activities for major telescope projects and contributing significantly to their operational transitions. Passionate about the astronomical community, Bernhard has developed a strong interest in systems engineering throughout their career.
