Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization - CTBTO

What: Building and operating the world's most sophisticated verification regime, consisting of 300+ monitoring stations around the planet, an International Data Centre and an on-site inspection regime. Why: To verify the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty, which bans all nuclear explosions, everywhere, for everyone. This hampers both the initial development of nuclear weapons as well as their substantial improvement (H-bomb). It also helps prevent damage caused by nuclear testing to humans and the environment.
