Mark Prior is a distinguished expert in underwater acoustics and seismology, currently serving as the Head of the Scientific Methods Unit at the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) since March 2023. Prior has an extensive background, having held the position of Senior Scientist at TNO from September 2014 to March 2023, and has previously contributed to CTBTO as a Scientist from 2007 to 2014, focusing on software enhancement and maintenance. Additional experience includes scientific roles at NURC and various organizations under the ARE/DRA/DERA/QinetiQ umbrella, specializing in sonar performance prediction and environmental acoustics.
