Peter Labak

Peter Labak serves as the Chief of the Equipment and Implementation Section in the OSI Division at the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), a position held since 2021. They previously contributed to the Geophysical Institute at the Slovak Academy of Sciences, where they held roles as a Researcher and Head of the Department of Seismology from 1990 to 2004. Prior to their current role, Peter worked as an Equipment and Implementation Officer at CTBTO from 2008 to 2020 and as a Senior Researcher at the Earth Science Institute from 2020 to 2021. Peter earned both their RNDr. and PhD. in geophysics from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, between 1985 and 2000.
