Gerwin Schaafsma is a Toxicologist (ERT) and Project Manager at the Dutch Board for the Authorisation of Plant Protection Products and Biocides. From 2002 to 2008, they were involved in hazard and risk assessments of new and existing substances on behalf of the Dutch Competent Authority and represented this authority at EU meetings. Since 2012, Gerwin has conducted hazard evaluations, exposure assessments, and risk assessments for plant protection products and biocides while preparing policy advice in this area. Gerwin holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Health Sciences from Radboud University and is a Certified Project Management Associate with the IPMA.
