Nick Bates is an experienced professional in the publishing and digital commerce sectors, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at CTO Craft since September 2021 and as Founder/Publisher at Wavesback since March 2020, an independent publisher focused on fostering author relationships. Previously, Bates held notable positions including Chief Digital Officer at both Cambridge Rare Books Limited and Bookbarn International Group, and Associate Publisher at HarperCollins Publishers. Bates has a robust background in digital marketing and sales, having served various roles at Harlequin (UK) Ltd, as well as gaining initial experience in database building at Trust the DJ.
