Daniel Melling has a diverse range of work experience. Daniel started their career as an English Conversation Program Instructor at the UCLA Dashew Center for International Students and Scholars in 2011. From 2009 to 2012, they worked at the Burkle Center for International Relations, first as an Outreach Intern and then as a Wilderness Guide, organizing outdoor excursions for students. In 2012, they volunteered as a Fall Fellow and Field Organizer for Organizing for America Colorado during the Obama campaign.

In 2012, Daniel worked as a Research Assistant at Harvard Law School, conducting research on President Nixon's decision to commute Jimmy Hoffa's sentence. From 2013 to 2017, they held various roles at the World Resources Institute, including Communications Specialist and Media Relations Lead, where they developed communication strategies for their energy program and secured press coverage for their global initiatives.

From 2018 to 2022, Daniel served as the Communications Manager at the University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law for the Emmett Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, overseeing communications for the environmental law program.

Starting in 2019, they pursued an MBA at UCLA Anderson School of Management and was involved in several impactful projects, including winning first place in the UCLA Innovation Challenge and co-leading a team in producing Impact Week 2021.

Currently, Daniel is the Head of Marketing at CTrees, a position they have held since 2022.

Daniel Melling attended UCLA Anderson School of Management from 2019 to 2022, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Prior to that, they attended UCLA from 2006 to 2012 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History. In 2007 and 2008, they also briefly studied Mandarin at Middlebury College.
