Randall Smith

Randall Smith has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Randall co-founded CUInsight.com in 2008, which serves as a leading news and information source for the credit union community. In 2013, they also co-founded CBInsight.com. Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, Randall worked at FISolv, LLC as a Partner and SVP for Training & Business Development from 2008 to 2010. Randall also held the position of Wholesaler at Franklin Templeton Investments from 2006 to 2008. Before that, they worked as an Investment Advisor at Comerica Wealth and Institutional Management from 2004 to 2006 and at Morgan Stanley from 1996 to 2004.

Randall Smith obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Banking & Finance/Management from Northwood University in 1997. Prior to that, they attended Clawson High School and completed their secondary education in 1992. In addition to their formal education, Randall has also obtained additional certifications. In 2015, they received the Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) certification from the National Credit Union Foundation. Most recently, in May 2023, they obtained the African Development Educator (ADE) certification from the African Confederation of Cooperative Savings & Credit Associations (ACCOSCA).
