Barış Altop

Barış Altop has a wide range of work experience, beginning in 2005 when they were an intern at Dogan Media Group. While there they were a system tester and builder of an address book database. In 2006, they interned at Logo Business Solutions, where they were part of the ERP project for Turk Telekom, helping build the interactive help documentation and continuing in the same project as a tester and patch controller. From 2009 to 2014, they worked at Sabanci University as an instructor, PhD student, teaching and research assistant, and master student and teaching and research assistant. In 2009, they also co-founded Plakamdan Bul, an online social network for people who might have seen each other on the road or have shared same taste in cars, tuning, etc. In 2014, they became a freelance software developer at Trio Mobil. Finally, in 2016, they joined SemperTech as a software engineer, and they are currently the Head of Software Development at Cubtale, a position they have held since 2022.

Barış Altop completed their PhD in Data Mining and Data Privacy at Sabanci University in 2019. Barış had previously completed their Graduate degree in Data Privacy at Sabanci University in 2011. Barış'sUndergraduate degree was in Computer Science & Engineering (Software Engineering) at Sabanci University which they completed in 2007.
