Cuento de Luz is an international independent children's book publisher based in Madrid, Spain. True to its name, which translates to "Tale of Light" in English, the company aims to build peace through education and inspire children to create a brighter future.

Committed to eco-friendly practices and sustainability, Cuento de Luz prints its books on stone paper, adhering to the most stringent standards (Cradle to Cradle certification). As a certified B Corporation, Cuento de Luz has demonstrated its commitment to meeting high standards of verified social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. This rigorous certification underscores the company's dedication to responsible business practices.

The result is a collection of captivating picture books originally written in Spanish and translated into English. These books are driven by a profound purpose: to nurture and encourage the inner light within each child to shine brightly.

Cuento de Luz has received numerous awards in the United States, including the one awarded by The New York Times and the New York Public Library to Ayobami and the names of the animals as Best Illustrated Book of 2018.
