Sam Rhodes

Sam Rhodes is currently an Assistant Professor of Math Education at Virginia Commonwealth University and the Founder of Rhodes Consulting, LLC, where they focus on improving mathematics instruction through professional development and coaching. Sam has previously held roles as a Mathematics Teacher at various schools, including WJCC Public Schools and Fairfax County Public Schools, before transitioning to higher education as a Math Specialist and Adjunct Professor at William & Mary. They served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at James Madison University and an Assistant Professor at Georgia Southern University. Sam earned a Ph.D. in Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership from William & Mary, along with a Master’s Degree in Mathematics Teacher Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Religious Studies.
