Syd Alam

Syd Alam has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. They began their career in 1997 as a Customer Service Technical Support representative at Rogers Communications. From there, they held various positions within the company, including Technical Analyst, Platform Specialist, and Senior Designer. In 2001, they became a Platform Specialist for Unix Server Operations, and in 2005, they transitioned to a Platform Specialist role in Rogers' Home Phone Operations. Syd then moved into the role of Senior Designer for IP Services Technology in 2008. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a System Integrator in Network Technology, where they were responsible for making decisions regarding new technology and service integration. In 2014, Syd became the Architect for IP Network Services, a position they held until 2018. At that time, they became the Manager of Technology Development and Architecture, where they focused on 5G architectures, NFV and private cloud architectures, and proof of concepts for private LTE/Networks. In 2020, Syd transitioned to the role of Senior Cyber Security Lead in Cloud Security, where they were responsible for securing Rogers' public cloud deployments and aligning the company to industry security standards. They also served as Director of Solutions Architecture at CUJO AI, leading teams to integrate solutions into NSP's networks/systems and understanding customer needs to develop and influence Cujo architectures and products. They are currently serving as the Director of Product Platform Management at CUJO AI.
