Trency Gu

Trency Gu, Managing Director at Sequoia China, focusing on healthcare investment, esp. on biotech, molecular diagnostics and precision medicine. Prior to joining Sequoia, she worked as an Associate at OrbiMed Asia team, covering healthcare and life sciences investments. Prior, Dr. Gu worked as a Project Manager at Eli Lilly Global External Research and Development Center in Shanghai, responsible for scouting, collaboration and partnership activities. She also worked at Shanghai Genomics, a biotech company on innovative drug discovery and development, as an Associate Director for Development Planning. Dr. Gu has a B.S. with double majors in Biotechnology and English, and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, both from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
