Danielle James is a seasoned writer and translator currently engaged at a writing company, where a deeply personal memoir titled ‘Return to the Place I Never Left’ is set for release on January 14, 2025. Alongside this role, Danielle has been with Asana since December 2021, significantly enhancing talent marketing and equitable recruiting strategies, which led to substantial increases in candidate engagement and hires. As a member of the Dean's Advisory Council at Baruch College and an Advisory Board Member for CUNY Tech Prep, Danielle contributes to higher education and inclusivity in tech. Prior experience at MongoDB involved leading diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives while managing successful recruitment and public awareness campaigns. Danielle holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from St. Joseph's University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Baruch College, complemented by an Associate of Arts from Medgar Evers College.

CUNY Tech Prep
CUNY Tech Prep (CTP) is a year-long program for City University of New York (CUNY) Computer Science and related majors in the 11 CUNY senior colleges to learn in-demand technologies, master professional soft skills, and land great tech jobs in New York City - all at NO cost to students. We pair two semesters of technical course work in either Web Development or Data Science, culminating in students showcasing applications they build from design to implementation at our biannual Demo Nights, with personalized career coaching to hone students’ professional skills. We were launched with insight from NYC tech companies and support from the NYC Tech Talent Pipeline, the City of New York’s industry partnership designed to support the inclusive growth of the NYC tech sector and deliver quality jobs to New Yorkers and quality talent to NYC businesses.
