As senior vice president operations at Cupertino Electric (CEI), Bruce Baxter is focused on field operational excellence. He analyzes trends and recommends labor, material, QA/QC, cost control and project risk improvements to drive efficiency and safety. His unique enterprise-wide role allows CEI to deliver efficient, highly predictable projects to customers in all market segments. With more than three decades of experience in production and construction management roles, Baxter works collaboratively with division leaders and draws on his deep knowledge to improve means and methods, promote efficiency, identify development opportunities, ensure accountability and promote a culture of safety.
In addition to his operational role at CEI, Baxter is the executive overseeing Cupertino Electric’s modular data center division. In this oversight role, Bruce helps meet the needs of customers who want to maximize speed and lower the cost of traditional data center construction. Prior to that, he served as vice president of operations for modular data center manufacturer NxGen Modular. Before joining NxGen, Baxter was vice president of production and industrial services for Cupertino Electric and oversaw the company’s field operations, production, safety, training and quality assurance efforts. Before overseeing production at Cupertino Electric, Baxter held various management positions within the company. He established the company’s field development training program with technical and management sessions, pioneered processes to improve field efficiency and quality, helped the company obtain ISO 9001 certification, and established industry-leading commissioning and field development programs.
Baxter attended San Jose City College and San Jose State University.
