Cure Thrift is a non-profit thrift destination in Manhattan's East Village that benefits juvenile diabetes research and advocacy. 

Cure Thrift's founder, Liz Wolff was diagnosed with type 1 (juvenile) diabetes when she was 11 years old. As a fourth generation garage sale and thrift shop-scouring, dumpster-diving New Yorker, Liz combined her passion for arts and antiques with her personal mission: to dedicate her life to finding a cure for type 1 diabetes.  

Cure Thrift opened its doors in 2008 and quickly rose to thrift shop stardom. With a dream team of artists and designers who share a passion for fashion, antiques, vintage, and the obscure, Cure has quickly become the most magical thrift experience in Manhattan.  

Cure Thrift has received rave reviews in the press and has been featured on HGTV, E! Network, Refinery 29, CBS News, Fox 5 News, and NY1 News.

Cure was named by Time Out New York as one of the "Top 50 NYC Stores of All Time." Cure Thrift has also served as the backdrop for several commercials and films.

​After 13 wonderful years at 111 East 12th Street, Liz and her creative partner, Nick Guy packed up and moved Cure Thrift to a bright, open, and modern new home at 91 Third Avenue. Their new location has transformed the corner of 12th and 3rd into a treasure hunter's paradise. Walk through our doors and lose yourself for hours.
