Steven Schwarz

Steven M. Schwarz, MD, FAAP, FACN, AGAF, is a Professor of Pediatrics at SUNY-Downstate Health Sciences University, where they also serve as the Director of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition. They earned a BA in Chemistry from Yale College and an MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, followed by post-doctoral training in Pediatric Gastroenterology at Stanford and Columbia. Prior to their current role, they held faculty positions at institutions including the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and New York Medical College, where they were awarded the Revson Foundation Career Scientist Award. Notably, they are a Fellow of several prestigious medical societies and have published extensively in the field of pediatric gastroenterology.
