Daniela Vargas Robles is a microbiome data analyst with extensive experience in various research and educational settings. Currently, Daniela works at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, focusing on turtle microbiome studies. Additionally, Daniela serves as a scientific illustrator for Rutgers University and CureScience, creating graphical summaries and explanatory images for biological and medical research. Daniela’s previous roles include postdoctoral researcher at UAM Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, where Daniela published two scientific papers, and researcher in malaria at Servicio Autónomo Centro Amazónico de Investigación y Control de Enfermedades Tropicales. Daniela holds a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Puerto Rico, an internship in Environmental Genomics, Bioinformatics from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, and a degree in Biology from Universidad de Los Andes.
