Thomas Gern

Thomas Gern currently serves as a Senior Automatisierungsingenieur at CureVac, where responsibilities include coordinating qualification and validation for new production lines in USP and DSP, along with developing automation systems adhering to ISA-88 standards. Previously, Thomas worked as a Plant Engineer, managing a new production line and overseeing turnarounds for GMP-production lines. Prior experience includes a role as Prozessingenieur at M+W Group, focusing on utility planning for DSP production line reconstruction. Thomas holds a Master of Science in Enzym-Biotechnologie from the University of Hohenheim and a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnologie from Hochschule Esslingen.
