Eric started their career as an Engineering Intern at Ohio Medical Corporation in 2008, where they created CAD parts and assemblies for vacuum pump systems and conducted device testing and failure analysis. In 2009, they worked as a Manufacturing Intern at Abbott Laboratories, where they analyzed production records and improved scrap data collection accuracy.

In 2010, Eric joined General Mills and held various roles, including Operations Management Assistant, Team Leader II, and New Product Startup Manager for Nature Valley Protein Bars. During their time at General Mills, they managed teams, prioritized resources, resolved production issues, and oversaw the successful launch of the protein bar product.

In 2014, Eric co-founded and led the Anesthesia Device Team at Bioengineers Without Borders, aiming to develop a low-cost anesthetic device for improving global access to safe surgery. Eric organized collaborations, secured seed funding, and won a healthcare-focused business competition.

From 2013 to 2019, Eric worked at the University of Washington Department of Bioengineering as a Graduate Student Researcher in the Prosthetics Research and Technology Lab.
