Mark Jones has a diverse work experience spanning various industries, primarily in the field of education and learning. Mark is the founder of OneHE, a global network that connects educators and fosters collaboration in higher education. Additionally, Mark serves as the Head of EMEA and Director of Faculty at Curio, where they support institutions in business strategy, service transformation, and culture change. Prior to this, they founded Pharos Insight Limited and worked as a Director of Business Development at Compass - Services to Tackle Problem Drug Use. Mark also held significant roles at the Higher Education Academy, including Interim Director for Agency Integration, Chief Operating Officer, and Commercial Director/Director of Services. Other notable positions include their role at Solaris Mobile, where they focused on investigating public safety opportunities and developing a go-to-market strategy, and their role as Managing Director at Broadband Capital Ltd, where they led the development of innovative approaches to public service transformation. Mark's earlier experience includes working as Digital Learning Manager at Hull Citylearning and as a Story Editor at Yorkshire Television.

Mark Jones obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of York in 1995. Mark then pursued a PhD in History at the same institution from 1995 to 1998. In 2006, Mark completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration from the University of Hull.
