Zernyu Chou

Zernyu Chou has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 2007 with RAB Lighting as a Programmer, where they updated the website and rewrote the company intranet back-orders interface with PHP and JavaScript to use dynamic database updates. In 2009, they became the Webmaster for Alpha Phi Omega - Alpha Alpha, where they rewrote and optimized Ruby on Rails code, and maintained a website of over 200 average active members, adding features by request. In 2010, they took on the role of Web Developer for Grab-a-Bike @ Illinois, as well as Senior Developer for Vodori. The following year, they joined Peace Care as a Developer, and in 2012 they became a Trashbag for Pro Leisure Tour. In 2014, they became Senior Software Developer for Earshot, Inc. and in 2015 they were appointed CTO for Current Labs. Finally, in 2017 they were named VP of R&D for Optact International, and in 2019 they became Co-Founder of General Optometrics.

Zernyu Chou attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
